So if you're a frequent traveler and an entrepreneur who works hard to get the word out about your business, this could be the card for you.
However, these are very specific spending categories and may not be very useful for side hustles or some solopreneurs.
Here are five things to know about this card:
1. Compensation rates are great if you match your spending.
of Wyndham Rewards® Earner℠ Business Credit Card What you get:
-
Earn 8 points per dollar spent on stays and gas at Wyndham hotels.
-
Earn 5 points per dollar spent on marketing, advertising, and utility payments.
-
Earn 1 point for every dollar spent on all other purchases.
These are fairly specialized bonus categories that won't appeal to every small business owner, but they can be a big boost for some.
2. There are endless places to spend your points.
Wyndham is a large hotel chain with over 9,000 hotels worldwide. This makes it easy to convert your points into a stay at one of our many hotel options. Free nights typically cost 7,500 points, 15,000 points, or 30,000 points per bedroom. You also have the option to use your points to earn discounted stays.
You can also use your points for gift cards, shopping, or airline transfers, but each point is usually worth less in that case. For example, gift cards earn you only 0.4 cents per point.
3. There is a generous registration bonus
This card offers the following benefits for new customers: Earn 45,000 bonus points after you spend $3,000 on purchases in the first 90 days. Free nights require up to 30,000 points per bedroom at participating properties and are subject to availability. Resort fees may apply and cannot be paid with points.
This is a pretty good offer compared to other cards with similar annual fees, but there are other cards out there that are better and more flexible.
of Chase Sapphire Preferred® CardFor example, it provides features such as: Earn 60,000 bonus points when you spend $4,000 on purchases within the first three months of account opening. Redeem through Chase Travel℠ for $750. And these points can be redeemed for more than just a stay at Wyndham.
4. Anniversary points can be valuable
of Wyndham Rewards® Earner℠ Business Credit Card gives you 15,000 bonus points each year on your card's anniversary and a free night at many Wyndham properties. But it's not the chain's highest-end hotel, which costs 30,000 points per night.
5. Associated with two other Wyndham consumer cards
Annual membership fee is lower ($75 and $0, respectively), the reward rate is also lower. If you like Wyndham's amenities but aren't a business owner, these cards may be more appealing to you.
