Financial advice can come from books, friends, life experiences, Investopedia, and more. Financial documentaries and movies are also a great way to gain insight and knowledge. Or you can turn on the TV and find shows about investing in the stock market, saving for retirement, and improving your business knowledge. With so many options, finding the right show for you can be a daunting task, but rest assured.

No article on finance shows would be complete without mentioning finance guru Susie Orman. Sadly, she ended her CNBC show after 14 years in 2015. She's now developing a new daily show called “Money Wars,” where she helps friends, families, and couples resolve disputes over money. We think she'll be the Judge Judy of money. Until that show premieres, there are plenty of shows to watch when you want money advice. Here are the 8 best TV shows about finance.

Jim Cramer's Mad Money

The show is hosted by, you guessed it, Jim Cramer. His main goal is to help people become better investors. It airs weekday nights on CNBC, so there's plenty of opportunity to tune in during the weekdays. “My job isn't to tell you what to think. It's to teach you how to think about the markets like a pro,” Cramer says in his mission statement. He teaches you how to analyze stocks and disparages tips that promise easy money.Secret savings “It's all about breaking into country clubs,” says Cramer. In other words, this is for people who want to save for retirement or their kids' college funds, not for people who think of it as a game and won't lose sleep over losing a ton of money. There will be guest interviews, call-ins from viewers, and Cramer's opinions on which stocks to watch and which to avoid. Check here for airtime.

Your Money

The show airs Saturday mornings on CNN. Hosted by Christine Romans, she breaks down the week's business news and how it affects your bottom line. You'll find out which costs are going up and which are going down. There's also a street interview about the price of a parking ticket and segments on everything from education to retirement savings to cell phone contracts. Romans' Twitter profile calls her CNN's “Explainer of all things money.” Check here for times and dates.

Squack Box

Hosted by Joe Kernen, Becky Quick, and Andrew Ross Sorkin. Quick has interviewed financial heavyweights such as Warren Buffett, Bill Gates, Alan Greenspan, T. Boone Pickens, Jamie Dimon, and Charlie Munger. Kernen is a pro in his field, having worked as a stockbroker for 10 years before switching careers. Sorkin is a financial columnist for CNBC. In this show, real inventors and entrepreneurs pitch their products to real investors, or “sharks.” If the sharks believe in the product, they will put their own money into it. The sharks include billionaire Mark Cuban, real estate mogul Barbara Corcoran, “Queen of QVC” Lori Greiner, tech innovator Robert Herjavec, fashion and branding expert Daymond John, and venture capitalist Kevin O'Leary. It's a must-watch for aspiring entrepreneurs. Check the dates and times here.

Money issues

Charlie Rose

Though not your traditional finance show, it's a great source of information on the economy and the state of the world. On Charlie Rose's iconic PBS show, the interview guru talks to movie stars, heads of state, authors, and financial gurus. Check the upcoming schedule to see when financial gurus and entrepreneurs like Bill Gates and business guru Tom Peters will be appearing.
