Business travelers will love it too.

US Bank Business Altitude™ Connect World Elite Mastercard®

includes first-class travel, gas and EV charging benefits, and no annual fee for the first year ($

95

(after that), enjoy complimentary access to Priority Pass lounges up to four times per year.

While these benefits are comparable to most basic business travel cards, the Business Altitude Connect lacks the kind of premium travel benefits that appeal to business owners who spend more time on the plane than in the office. Points also cannot be transferred to outside travel partners.

If you want to play point games,

Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card

You can transfer your Chase Ultimate Rewards® points to over a dozen external partners, including popular airlines and hotel chains. You can also transfer your Ink Business Preferred points to the Chase Sapphire Reserve (if you have them). This allows you to squeeze even more value out of the points you earn.

The reason why I want it is

US Bank Business Altitude™ Connect World Elite Mastercard®

Free annual fee for the first year

It's rare to find a business travel card with no annual fee. Typically, you'll pay at least $95 for perks and welcome offers. However, the annual fee for US Bank Business Altitude is

$0 introductory fee for the first year, $95 thereafter.

. You'll still get big rewards (more on that later) and a nice welcome offer.

Limited time offer: Earn 60,000 bonus points valued at $600 when you spend $6,000 on your Account Owner's Card within the first 180 days of account opening.

Big-ticket benefits such as travel and gasoline

US Bank Business Altitude Connect earns 4x points on the first $150,000 of total annual spending on trips that include gas stations and EV charging stations. This is an unmatched rate on other business travel cards, which typically require booking through the card's dedicated travel portal to earn more than 3 points per dollar. However, it's worth noting that Business Altitude Connect also offers that option. Earn 5x points on hotels and rental cars booked directly through the US Bank Rewards Center.

Use points and personal cards together

Why do I need another card?

No external transfer partner

Points earned with Business Altitude Connect can only be redeemed for statement credits or for travel through the Altitude Rewards Center. In both scenarios, 1 point is worth 1 cent. While this is certainly a respectable redemption value, you can squeeze even more value out of these points with the option to transfer to other travel partners. US Bank doesn't allow this, but several other business travel cards do offer that option.
of

Chase Inc. Business Priority

has more than a dozen travel partners, and you can transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards® points earned with Ink Business Preferred to them on a 1:1 basis. By doing so strategically, you can increase the value of those points from 1 cent per point to the maximum.

2.3

Cents per point, depending on partner.

Below is a complete list of Chase's current transfer partners, their estimated values and transfer ratios.

If you have the Chase Sapphire Reserve® as your personal card, you can also transfer your Ink Business Preferred points to the Sapphire Reserve card and increase their value to 1.5 cents per point. US Bank has a similar premium personal card in the Altitude Reserve, but points earned via Business Altitude Connect cannot be transferred to the Altitude Reserve card.

Lack of premium travel benefits

While the US Bank Business Altitude Connect offers hefty rewards on your travel spending, this card lacks the additional travel benefits that many competitors offer. Just carrying your card around won't earn you elite status at any hotel or airline.

If you need more than travel card points, consider:

Capital One Venture X Business

. Although the annual fee is high ($

395

), there are also plenty of benefits. Earn a $300 annual credit when you book through Capital One Travel, 10,000 bonus miles every card anniversary, and a $100 statement credit towards your TSA PreCheck® or Global Entry application fee every four years. In addition to this, you will receive extensive welcome offers such as:

Earn 150,000 bonus miles after you spend $30,000 within the first 3 months of account opening.

(See rates and fees.)

Should I get one?

US Bank Business Altitude™ Connect World Elite Mastercard®

?

If you're looking for a better-than-usual business travel card, the US Bank Business Altitude Connect is a solid choice. Earn the highest rate of rewards (up to $150,000) on all your travel spend, no matter where you book, and 4x rewards rates on gas and EV charging stations. However, if you're the type of traveler who wants to squeeze a little more value out of your points, consider these transportation partner options:

Chase Inc. Business Priority

or premium travel benefits, etc.

Capital One Venture X Business
