Ohio Wesleyan launches entrepreneur contest with largest prize package in the state
delaware ohio – Ohio Wesleyan University today announced plans to launch an annual business plan competition this summer with more than $250,000 in prizes. It is the most valuable contest of its kind in the entire state.
“With the Ohio Wesleyan University Business Plan Competition, we are not just for Delaware, but for Columbus, Ohio and the United States,” he said on April 16. President Matt Vandenberg, who announced the contest at the Ie Center, said:

The OWU Business Plan Competition includes both a student track, open to all current university students, and a community track, open to all other students. His first, second and third place winners in both categories will receive a combination of products, services and investments moving forward, including access to the Delaware Entrepreneurship Center and its resources.
Phil Smith, the center's director, said businesses wishing to participate in the Ohio Wesleyan Business Plan Competition will go through a preliminary screening using an online application that begins July 1. The most promising companies will move forward based on criteria such as completeness of their plans, he said. the potential impact of business plans, existing financing, and products and services;
“Attendees will gain real-world experience, receive expert advice and find a path to making their startup dreams a reality,” Smith said. “This is an exciting moment for the Delaware Entrepreneurship Center and for all entrepreneurs looking to make their mark.”

The Delaware Entrepreneurial Center at Ohio Wesleyan University, located at 70 South Sandusky Street in Delaware, is a first-of-its-kind liberal arts business accelerator and a first-of-its-kind city-county-educational partnership.
