In late 2022, the New Jersey Business Action Center (NJ BAC) partnered with the New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission (NJ BAC) to build and launch the Cannabis Training Academy (NJ CTA), which will provide free technical assistance, training, and services. NJ CRC). A mentorship program to support qualified cannabis entrepreneurs who wish to apply for a cannabis license in New Jersey.
At the heart of NJ CTA are 10 levels of more than 60 modules that educate students about the NJ CRC application process. Students will learn what is required to apply for a cannabis license and understand the documents required to apply for a cannabis license.
To help CTA students understand the cannabis application process, NJBAC has engaged dozens of qualified instructors and mentors who currently support, consult, teach, or work in the cannabis industry. This support is critical to ensuring that cannabis applicants receive the support they need to confidently apply for a cannabis license within New Jersey.
All of these courses are available online, and the Academy is learner-driven, allowing students to complete the courses at their own pace and in their own time. The course consists of a combination of pre-recorded webinars followed by scheduled virtual question-and-answer sessions in which students can ask specific questions and receive non-legal guidance and direction from a designated instructor. can.
The first three levels of the Cannabis Training Academy are open to the public and anyone can register for free. It is intended to assist in the decision-making process of whether to obtain a license, as well as provide public education about the history of cannabis and the progress toward normalizing safe cannabis use. Levels 4 through 9 are for individuals who reside in, plan to conduct business in, or are employed from impact zones designated by the New Jersey CRC.
The goal of the technical assistance and training program is to ensure fair and diverse representation in the cannabis industry.
