Goldman Sachs One Million Black Women: Black in Business is a free business education program dedicated to providing solopreneurs with the tools they need to turn business potential into business growth. The program helps solopreneurs learn how to price their products or services, hire their first employee, understand their financial situation, and more.
of One Million Black Women: Black People in Business The curriculum was developed in partnership with NYU Stern School of Business and covers the following topics:
- Module 1 – Master the art of engaging your customers
- Module 2 – The Keys to Effective Marketing
- Module 3 – Optimizing Operations for Growth
- Module 4 – Financial Statement Management
- Module 5 – Planning and Forecasting
- Module 6 – Positioning for Growth

Qualifications
We welcome applications from business owners who share our mission of providing tools and education to Black women entrepreneurs to help them create jobs, opportunity and economic growth in their communities.
Specific eligibility requirements:
- Self-employed (no other full-time employees); Black women self-employed individuals are especially encouraged to apply.
- Have a minimum of $25,000 in revenue over the past 12 months.
- A business that generates revenue.
- It will operate for at least one year.
Program Initiatives
- 6 hours a week online, flexible schedule
- Develop, present and receive feedback on business action plans
- In-person orientation and graduation ceremony
- Meet with advisors, mentors and other business leaders
