The New Jersey Business Action Center (NJBAC) announced that it will partner with the Hudson County Economic Development Corporation to host a small business networking and resource event called “Resources for Growth.” Scheduled for Wednesday, April 3, the event will be held at High Tech High School in Secaucus from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The “Resources for Growth” event is NJBAC’s signature effort to connect state agencies and other business organizations to the small business community. Its primary purpose is to help business owners and entrepreneurs discover the various financing and incentive programs, technical assistance and services available to foster business growth and success.
Approximately 50 state agencies and community partners are participating, and attendees will have the opportunity to speak one-on-one with the following representatives:
- New Jersey Business Action Center
- New Jersey Economic Development Authority
- New Jersey Small Business Development Center
- Ministry of Finance
- Department of Workforce Development
- local chamber of commerce
- Various other national institutions and organizations
“This event underscores our commitment to supporting the small business community that is the backbone of New Jersey's economy,” said Lieutenant Governor Tahesha Way, who oversees NJBAC as New Jersey's Secretary of State. “By investing in events like ‘Resources for Growth,’ we are ensuring the economic vitality of our state and paving the way for a prosperous future across the state.”
NJBAC Executive Director Melanie Willoughby emphasized that the event is focused on simplifying the process for businesses to access support. “Small business owners often struggle with long and ever-growing to-do lists,” she said. “Our 'Resources for Growth' events are designed to remove obstacles and help businesses find the support available to them, all conveniently consolidated in one place.”
This event is open to both startups and established businesses. Attendees will have ample time to connect and network with agents, learning about a wide range of topics including financing, contracts or certifications, employment, energy rebates, and more.
