Entrepreneurial confidence in the economy increased in December in the industrial sector (+2.3ppt), selected services sector (+1.5ppt) and commercial sector (+2.6ppt), but fell in the construction sector (-5.4ppt) compared to the previous month.
consumer Economic confidence fell significantly from the previous month. The number of respondents who expect overall economic conditions to worsen over the next 12 months increased compared to November. Additionally, the number of households rating their current financial situation worse than in the past 12 months and the number of respondents who expect it to worsen over the next 12 months increased. The proportion of consumers who believe now is not a good time to make a major purchase remained roughly steady.
