Doncaster-based RSM Lining Supplies Global Ltd was founded in 2003 by managing director Richard Davis and moved into its first 200 sq ft unit with just two employees in 2006. Now, 17 years later, the company is a multinational business employing 55 staff, most of them local, at its 35,000 sq ft headquarters in Doncaster.
The company is headquartered in New South Wales, Australia, with another facility in Melbourne, where it recently relocated to larger premises due to increasing customer demand. The company is looking to further expand into global markets and is increasing the number of distributors around the world.
We offer a wide range of materials and equipment for Cured-in-Place Pipe Lining (CIPP), from room temperature cure systems using simple thermoset resins to highly technically advanced curing methods using UV LED light.
The company also provides the most comprehensive liner impregnation service across the UK and Ireland, with the UK’s largest factory impregnation system capable of accommodating liners up to 2000mm (80in) in diameter.
RSM's onsite technical support team has over 40 years combined experience in the drainage industry and can assist contractors with projects of all sizes, from small diameter cold cure liners to the most demanding high temperature, steam cure and UV cure liners, and we also offer a range of accredited training packages.
Mayor of Doncaster, Cllr Ross Jones, said: “We really value the passion and energy of our business community towards growing businesses and creating jobs in the borough. Doncaster City Council is playing its part through Business Doncaster to ensure businesses receive the highest quality support and information on business grants and initiatives to help them achieve that growth.”
“Trying to grow your business and make it more resilient whilst also juggling day to day operations can be challenging, which is why the Business Doncaster team can help us build and strengthen our businesses.”
Richard Davis, managing director at RSM, said: “We have always strived to deliver on our mission statement: 'Bringing choice and technology to the industries we serve' and we believe this has helped us grow into the business we are today. The business has developed significantly over the last 12 months and I couldn't be more proud of my team and what we have achieved so far.”
“The support we have received from Business Doncaster has been really valuable and it’s great that initiatives like this exist, especially for businesses looking to take the next step.”
“The new space has enabled us to significantly increase our daily stock and double our impregnation capacity with the installation of a second wet out bed, allowing us to continue to meet customer demand,” he added.
RSM needed larger premises to deliver its growth plans and Business Doncaster worked with RSM to find a new property, relocating to new 35,000 sq ft premises on Woodfield Way, Balby in the summer of 2022. Business Doncaster supported the relocation with the support of the Business Investment Incentive Scheme and the ERDF Productivity Programme, enabling the purchase of 48 storage units.
This move has not only enabled RSM to significantly increase its inventory and impregnation capacity, but also enabled it to expand its specialized service and repair center and develop its business research and development capabilities to remain at the forefront of the industries we serve for many years to come.
