Please tell us a little about your business. What services does your business offer?
JS: Smooth Like That is a luxury fashion store that has been in successful business for over 25 years. Our menswear comes in all shapes and sizes. We also offer free counseling and have professional tailors on site. As part of my business model, we strive to provide good service to people who live in the Olney neighborhood and throughout the city when they visit us.
What does it mean to you to have a store in Philadelphia?
JS: I started this job at the age of 16 and worked in a men's clothing store for about 20 years. Then one day I decided to start my own clothing store. He has been doing this job for 44 years, and having a store means a lot to me. I love supporting my customers and they spread the word about my business because of their satisfactory service.
What do you want your customers to know and feel when they walk into your store?
JS: We want everyone to feel like they're getting professional support and customer service. We custom-make and dress every man to the perfect fit for every occasion. My customers tell me they need something for the weekend, so I pick a few options and see which one they like best. The relationship of trust we have with our customers is exceptional.
When did your company apply for the Business Security Camera Program and why?
JS: We wanted to install as many outdoor security cameras as possible around the storefront because there can be a lot going on outside. These cameras are also helpful to police officers in case there may be an incident in the area.
How will this program impact your business? What changes have you seen since installing outdoor surveillance cameras?
JS: These cameras are suitable for commercial areas and make everyone feel safer as if they were there. eye I'm there to keep an eye on the activity. It helps you see in advance who might be there and takes all possible precautions, which is very helpful.
Would you encourage business owners to apply for the Business Security Camera Program and why?
JS: Yes, we encourage business owners to apply for this funding. Outdoor security cameras for commercial establishments can help you feel safer. These cameras also help you see what's happening around your storefront before it opens in the morning and before it closes in the evening.
Is there anything else you would like to share?
JS: The staff at the Department of Commerce are great people. If you're having trouble with your outdoor security camera, give us a call and have them make sure the camera is working properly. great people, great team, Kita 5th Street Revitalization Project.
