Winston-Salem holds small business plan contest
Preview of BoonVille Take On Next. Again, it's 6am on Monday, March 25th. Thank you for starting your day at WXII. I'm Jackie Pascal, Audrey Audrey Biesque. March ends this week. Last week of the month. With the holiday week just around the corner, Brian has put together a little bit of this week's weather forecast. what happened? Well, conditions will definitely change. Temperatures will be below freezing, at least this morning, with a Triad Freeze Warning in effect. And as we move into the middle of this week, there is a high chance of rain again. But by the end of this week, things will improve really quickly. We're looking forward to a nice weekend with some warm sunshine, but we're not there yet. It's officially growing season in the Piedmont Triad, with temperatures in the low 70s across the north, and near freezing in some stretches in Forsyth, Guilford County, Alaman County and points south as far south as Mongolia. , a freeze warning has been issued. RY. It should be said that it is set up from 3am to 9am. As you can see, temperatures are in the low to mid 30s and still dropping. The current low temperature in Martinsville is 26 degrees. From Eden to Leadville, it's 28 degrees, and most of the Triad has temperatures within 32 degrees. Looking further west, things are looking pretty quiet here locally, even though Tennessee, Kentucky and the entire Triad are starting to see a little bit of wet weather. This is the next storm that could bring wet weather through at least early Tuesday morning, and possibly into Wednesday. Your Triad forecast will be sunny early, but clouds will start to increase. And I think it will be partly sunny for most of today. Temperatures improved from Sunday's mid-50s. Temperatures are nearing 60 degrees today despite east-northeast winds between 5 and 10 mph. However, temperatures will warm up and cool down a bit this week. Let's talk about how warm it will be over Easter weekend. It takes just a few minutes. I'm Adrianna Hargrove. I'm checking the traffic situation this morning. This is currently Interstate 70 3 in Rockingham and Guilford counties, and there are no accidents at this time. The same goes for us. 311 Leaving Stokes County and entering Forsyth County. Things seem to be going well at the moment. As a result, traffic conditions have been good since this morning, with no reports of collisions or slowdowns. Now, let's actually take a look at the scene. This is Business 85 on Rehoboth Church Road in Greensboro. There are several cars and trucks on the road this morning. There's nothing strange about that route at this point. Happy Monday and safe travels everyone. The entire North Carolina men's basketball team has advanced to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament. This is the first time this has happened since 2015. Duke won at Brooklyn last night, becoming the newest team in the state. Our own Chanel Porter shares the highlights of her second round win. Duke heads to the Sweet 16 in Dallas after an absolutely dominant performance in the second round against James Madison here at Barclays Center. I think we knew pretty early on in this game that the Blue Devils pulled away from a 10-point lead within seven minutes of the game and they really never turned back. By the way, the final score here was 93-55. Duke's starters had to rest during the final five minutes of play. The man of the night happened to be freshman Jared McCain who put on an absolute show. Eight threes set a new Duke NCAA Tournament record. McCain scored a team-high 30 points, but this was really a game where he had 22 assists and everyone hit shots. Tyrese Proctor had 18, Jeremy Roach had 15 and Kyle Filipowski had 14, and they all fed off of each other's energy. This game will give you a lot of confidence for the next round. Duke took an early lead and instead of letting his guard down, he really hit the gas pedal all the way to the finish line. As a shooter, you feel like you're going to lose every game. Oh, but I get all the confidence in the world when I see the first one of him, the first few, enter. And they have to put pressure on me and then the game opens up even more. Um, but it all comes back to my work, so I really believe in my work. And to be in this important moment under such high-pressure conditions, I just love to succeed, I love to attend HYDE games all year round, you know. I think we got the lead and then got stuck where the team was and snuck back. So Vermont was one of them. You know, they started to back off. You know, I think this was the first game where we really stepped on the gas and kept pushing. We just showed how good we really are. It, um, it gives us more confidence. And, um, I really feel like I can do anything now. As a reminder, all three North Carolina teams are headed to the Sweet 16 Duke, along with NC State and UNC State. It's his first time since 2015 that all three have advanced to his third round. So far, I've reported on Barclays Center, Chanel Porter, WXII 12 Sports, and Chanel. thank you. And like you said, NC State and UNC are currently preparing for their next game. North Carolina State advanced Saturday night with a big win over the Oakland Golden Grizzlies in overtime with a final score of 79-73. NC State will play Marquette in Dallas on Friday night in the Southern Regional final. It was a great match. UNC also advanced to the regional semifinals. The Tar Heels will play Alabama in Los Angeles on Thursday after a win over Michigan State this weekend. You can follow him all the action here on WXII 12 News. Our athletic director, John Johnson, will be at North Carolina in Los Angeles, and Chris Petersen will be at Chanel Porter.
