Valley View Mall is the future home of the dog supply store. Waggles Puppy Boutique.
According to city records, the owner is building a $200,000 storefront with 14 kennels on the second floor.
Kelly Rodd, chief operating officer of the Waggles organization, said puppies will average $2,000 and they expect to open in late June. Rod said this will be the company's second store.
The first store is open in Port Charlotte, Fla., and about 20 stores are “in development,” Rod said.
“Waggles Puppy Boutique is creating a new model for how people can acquire a cherished new family member,” Rod wrote. “We are focused on providing healthy, well-socialized puppies and working with new families to find the perfect puppy to find their forever home. Born from a group of people who have spent years delivering puppies while expanding our breeding standards and developing an in-store operation focused on the health and welfare of the puppies in our care.”

The Waggles will be located in the same space where the pet store was located in Valley View. Puppy Love Co., Ltd. It operated from 2008 until August 2022, when it closed without prior notice. State records list Puppy Lab as inactive. Rod said there is no connection between Waggles and Puppy Love.
