of Presidency President Bola Tinubu-led government on Saturday announced the award of 60 million naira to 120 selected youths from across the country.
Abiola Arogundade, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Technical, Vocational and Entrepreneurial Education (SSAP-TVEE), disclosed this in Abuja.
Speaking at a ceremony to award grants, solar kiosks and certificates to outstanding participants of the Unlock Training Programme, Arogundade said the programme was the outcome of a six-week campaign launched by President Tinubu during which Nigerian youths were asked to record and submit a one-minute video on their current TVET skills.
She added what are the future plans for those skills and how she wants the government to help her achieve them.

During the programme, he highlighted that both online and face-to-face participants were trained on the components of a good business plan, including executive summary, business overview, marketing strategy, pricing, cash management and risk.
The presidential aide added that at the end of the campaign, some 10,000 participants underwent an intensive 10-day training course where they learned how to create and implement business plans.
She said: “After the course, participants were asked to write and submit business plans. Today, we are awarding grants of 500,000 naira each to the 120 winners who submitted the best business plans.”
“We will also be presenting honorary awards to 80 people who are exceptionally talented in technical, vocational and entrepreneurship skills but need support to scale their businesses.”
“As you may have seen upon entry, to support business development of TVET skills, the winners will be gifted four solar kiosks. One will be for a beauty salon, one for catering and food sales and the other two are designed for general use.”
