BROOKINGS — The Volga Business Network is pleased to announce that Katelynn Sheehan, owner of Kate's House of Hounds, is the winner of the Volga Small Business Basics business plan competition sponsored by M&T Fire and Safety.
Caitlin Sheehan impressed the judges with her business plan for Kate's House of Hounds, a dog grooming and boarding service aimed at providing excellent care for pets in the Volga River and surrounding areas. Her business plan stood out for its clear vision and strategic approach to continuing to expand its services.
“We are pleased to recognize Caitlin Sheehan for her incredible business plan,” said Casey Stickland, outreach coordinator for the Brookings Area Chamber of Commerce. “Cate's House of Hounds is a great example of Volga entrepreneurial spirit, and we look forward to watching her business grow and thrive.”
The Volga Small Business Basic Business Plan Contest is designed to support and encourage local entrepreneurs to create solid business plans that contribute to the economic growth of the region. The sponsor of the contest, M&T Fire and Safety, is a local small business committed to providing a full range of firefighting equipment, from fire extinguishers to fire trucks, to the Dakotas and Minnesota. The company's support of the contest highlights its commitment to supporting the Volga community and highlights the company's pride in being a small business that supports other small businesses.
