Proposals have been submitted to East Ayrshire Council for the potential launch of a new business on a property within the Hillhead Heights development.
The application, submitted on behalf of Claire Wilson, seeks the construction of a new garden building on Hillhead Crescent to be used as a hair salon and equipment storage facility.
Behind the present garden is a row of trees, with adjacent gardens on either side.

The first applications were submitted in May for pre-application advice.
Taking into account the nature of the application and the intended establishment of the business, a full planning application was submitted earlier this month.
The planning documents state: “The proposed garden building would be used as a beauty salon and there would also be a storeroom in the garden (separate to the salon) and a WC with toilet and wash basin.”
“The building is intended for storage of gardening equipment and for the homeowner to operate a small private beauty salon.
“The building has been designed in accordance with permitted development guidelines and is currently being assessed by the Building Control Authority in accordance with the April 2024 Non-Residential Technical Handbook.”
A decision on the plans is expected by early August.
