- Plans to expand electric vehicles in all AMIEO sub-regions
- 11 new models launched, including hero models from all sub-regions

Paris, France (March 27, 2024) – Under The Arc, Nissan’s new global business plan to drive value and strengthen competitiveness, Nissan is expanding its operations across diverse AMIEO regions (Africa, Middle East, India, Europe, Oceania ) Strengthen electrification and growth plans across the board.
The plan is a bridge between the FY20-23 Nissan NEXT Business Transformation Plan and Nissan's long-term vision, Ambition 2030, which includes a broad product offensive, increased electrification, new approaches to engineering and manufacturing, and a new approach to engineering and manufacturing. Adopt new technologies, leverage strategic partnerships to increase global sales and improve profitability.
The AMIEO region is consistent with Nissan's global strategy to ensure sales growth through customized regional strategies, with a balanced electric/ICE product portfolio, increased sales in key markets, and financial discipline. supported by the European Union of Electric Vehicles (EVs), and set the direction to accelerate the transition to EVs.
Through these efforts, Nissan aims to increase annual global sales by 1 million vehicles, of which the AMIEO region will contribute nearly a third (300,000 vehicles). Of the 16 new electric vehicles and 14 ICE vehicles being launched globally, five of the all-new EVs and six of the all-new ICE vehicles will be launched in the AMIEO region. These include some of Nissan's most beloved nameplates among customers, including the Leaf.

Nissan continues to leverage strategic partnerships to support its competitiveness and product portfolio. In Europe, the alliance with Renault/Ampere will introduce a new compact EV to replace the Nissan Micra, and two new LCVs are scheduled to be released. In Oceania, Nissan plans to leverage its partnership with Mitsubishi Motors to launch a new 1-ton pickup truck. In India, Nissan will strengthen its alliance with Renault and expand its manufacturing footprint, with India set to join the UK as one of the region's major export hubs.
Progress in electrification
EV rollout is currently planned in all AMIEO sub-regions, and Nissan Europe will continue to lead the way in driving Nissan's global electrification strategy. By 2026, Nissan expects more than 40% of its sales mix in Europe to be 100% electric and 75% electric.
Beyond products and sales, Nissan is realizing its EV36Zero vision in EV and battery manufacturing by beginning production of a new electric vehicle at its Sunderland, UK factory. The transformation project is Nissan's 360-degree blueprint for zero-emission manufacturing and operation, enabling investment of up to £3 billion by Nissan and its partners.
Nissan's vision for the electric ecosystem is that V2G technology will be commercialized and AC bidirectional functionality will be available on Nissan EVs over the planning period, starting in Europe. Leveraging new partnerships across the region, Nissan's V2G technology includes an affordable bi-directional home charger that provides the opportunity to share energy stored in a vehicle's battery with the power grid, providing Nissan with a new provide significant revenue opportunities and benefit customers and the environment. .
The Arc: Subregion Highlights
India
During The Arc, Nissan India will launch three new models and triple its sales volume, targeting 95,000 units in 2026, an increase of 63,000 units compared to 2023.
The Alliance Plant (RNAIPL) in Chennai will introduce two new Nissan SUVs as well as two SUVs for Renault. With additional export opportunities worth approximately 100,000 vehicles by 2026, India will join the UK as Nissan's major export hub in the AMIEO. During this medium-term plan, Nissan will continue to develop new electric vehicles to be produced in Chennai.
Africa
During The Arc, Nissan aims to double sales in the region to 110,000 units, an increase of 56,000 units compared to FY2023.
For three years, African customers will also benefit from two new SUVs launched in India. In addition to the continued rollout of Nissan's proprietary e-POWER technology, Nissan plans to offer 100% electric vehicles to South African consumers by the end of the Arc plan.
These actions focused on market expansion and new product introduction will help Nissan in Africa to ensure that it takes advantage of the expected rise in automotive market growth and expands its market share.
middle east
Five new Nissan SUVs will be introduced in the Middle East, including two new SUVs manufactured and exported from India.
Ark also sets out its strategy to bring electric vehicles to the Middle East and is a springboard for further expansion as Nissan looks to leverage its strong brand strength in these key markets to drive further growth.
Europe
Five new EVs will be introduced during The Arc, including a 100% electric alternative to the Nissan Leaf, Juke and Nissan Micra.
Nissan also plans to leverage its alliance partnership with Ampere to launch new LCVs based on the all-electric Interstar LCV and FlexEVan.
To support the transition to an all-electric vehicle future, Nissan is developing its third generation of e-POWER technology, the brand's proprietary electric powertrain that will serve as the gateway to an all-EV driving experience.
In terms of overall sales performance, Nissan Europe aims to increase sales by 40%, or more than 170,000 units, by the end of the plan period.
Oceania
During The Arc, Nissan Oceania will leverage its partnership with Mitsubishi Motors to launch four new models, including a new 1-ton pickup.
As the transition to electrification accelerates, more new electric vehicles will be introduced in Oceania.
