Arizona State University (ASU) Lake Havasu officially launched its annual HavaStartup Business Plan Competition at an information session Tuesday night, an information session for individuals looking to improve their business ideas.
HavaStartup is in its fifth year and is hosted on Lake Havasu by ASU in partnership with the Lake Havasu Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Better Business Bureau (BBB) serving the Pacific Southwest.

Those interested in learning more about the contest and its process can attend a session in Santiago Hall to hear from organizers Dr. Lipsa Nabagan Madavika, assistant professor of business administration and business communications at ASU at Lake Havasu, and Dr. Kristen. Ta. Mann, a professor of organizational leadership and communication at ASU, is a past winner of his HavaStartup competition, along with Andrea Helart, the current president and CEO of the Havasu Regional Chamber. .

This contest provides business owners and entrepreneurs with the opportunity to improve their business ideas, products, prototypes, services, etc., and provides start-ups and establishments looking to develop business plans that will lead to business growth and benefit Lake Havasu. It is held to support start-up businesses. city.
“You need to understand what your business model is and what problem you are trying to solve,” Dr. Lipsa Navahan Madhavika told attendees.
The application process will run from Nov. 14 to Jan. 19, and participants must share their business idea and explain how it will improve the local economy.
Selected companies will advance to the second round, with a deadline of March 1, 2024, to submit the required business plans.
