Fall is approaching and the warm waters and beautiful beaches of Bermuda are calling. Travelers will soon be able to fly direct to Bermuda all year round with upstart airline Bermuda Airways. And before winter arrives, the new airline will be offering a revolutionary new business class seat, Aisle Class.
Bermuda, a British overseas territory, is known for its relaxed lifestyle, sandy beaches and crystal clear turquoise waters. According to the Bermuda Business Development Authority, the region is also a business destination due to its focus on international commerce and finance.
Put on your Bermuda shorts and get ready for a short and comfortable excursion to a paradise island.
Bermuda Airways launched this week as the first Bermuda-based airline with year-round service, serving both leisure and business travelers. The airline has launched tickets for three nonstop routes from the U.S. East Coast to Bermuda.
The new airline flies comfortable Embraer E175 regional jets nonstop between Bermuda's LF Wade International Airport (BDA) and Boston Logan International Airport (BOS). Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) and Westchester County Airport (HPN). To book a flight, view flight schedules or get more information, visit www.flybermudair.com.
There will be six flights per week between BDA and BOS, as well as flights between BDA and HPN. These flights are scheduled to begin on August 31st. From September 15th, service between HPN and BDA will increase to two flights per day.
Flights between BDA and FLL will also be increased to six times a week, starting from September 22nd.
Baumud Air says it will offer premium travel options for journeys with an average flight time of approximately two hours. Introductory fares start at USD 199 one-way, including taxes and fees.
Interestingly, Baumud Air's Embraer E175 aircraft will begin operations in a standard 88-seat configuration, but only 44 seats will be sold on each flight. Instead, each seat sold offers passengers aisle access and plenty of space for carry-on luggage, providing a comfortable and spacious in-flight experience.
All BermudAir flights include free Wi-Fi and entertainment. Each passenger is given at least one (or more depending on fare) free checked baggage. Onboard services include freshly prepared snacks and a selection of beverages from local partners on the island.
The plan to limit the number of seats on planes to half capacity is a prelude to the airline's move to offer all seats in business class. The innovative custom-made seating suite is scheduled to debut in November.
Once installed, BermudAir's new layout will be called Aisle Class, a unique 30-seat configuration that is billed as “solving the aisle vs. window seat dilemma,” offering plenty of privacy and plenty of workspace. I will do it.
The new seating arrangement features just two spacious seats facing each other in each row. Travelers have access to under-seat storage space for carry-on baggage and personal items, as well as in-seat power. Wi-Fi is free, and Wi-Fi entertainment and messaging are also available.
The upcoming Isle Class cabin is designed without the need for overhead bins, facilitating a convenient and quick boarding and disembarking experience.
“Our original launch plans were impacted by supply chain issues, particularly the delivery of our custom-built Aisle Class suites,” said BermudAir founder and CEO Adam Scott. “We were already seeing reductions in air service over the fall and winter months, so by starting with seat configuration changes we can close service gaps now and increase service frequency ahead of full-scale aisle class launch.” can be established.”
The company is looking forward to the launch of the Isle Class in November. Scott said: “The aircraft will be progressively converted to 30 seats. One aircraft will remain in service during a two-week transition period and the other will be reconfigured over approximately a week before returning to Bermuda. .”
