Frank M. Fossen is Professor of Economics and Charles N. Mathewson Professor of Entrepreneurship in the Department of Economics at the University of Nevada, Reno. He is also a researcher at IZA. Before he arrived at the University of Nevada, Reno in October 2016, he was an assistant professor of public economics at the Free University of Berlin in Germany.
He received his Ph.D. He received his PhD in Economics with honors in 2008 and graduated from Free University of Berlin in 2015. He previously studied at the University of Karlsruhe and the University of Toronto.
Frank Fossen's research covers the economics of entrepreneurship, public economics, labor economics, and applied microeconometrics. He has published his 40 papers in peer-reviewed journals such as 'Theory and Practice of Entrepreneurship', 'European Economic Review', 'Journal of Economic Behavior and Organizations', and 'Journal of Financial Intermediation'. .
