Bastien Dagzan will step down from his role as CEO of Jacquemus with immediate effect, a spokesperson for the brand confirmed.
“I would like to thank Simon for his trust and the incredible journey we have been on with our team. He has always been a great source of inspiration and I am very proud to have been a part of this adventure.” Dagzan said in a statement.
Dagzan officially joined Jacquemus as CEO in May 2022, but he has had a long-standing relationship with the brand. He consulted Jacquemus when he was Paco Rabanne's general manager and a regular at its runway shows. He became the brand's first CEO, following founder Simon Port and Jacquemus himself, who had previously held the roles of both creative director and CEO.
“Bastien has been a driving force behind the business and its leadership. We wish him well in his new endeavors,” Jacquemus said in a statement.
During his tenure, the hot French independent label continued to expand its reach. It opened its first flagship store in a 3,200 square foot two-story space on Avenue Montaigne in Paris in September 2022, with sales reaching 200 million euros ($220 million) in 2022.
