Linda Ferrell is a marketing professor at Globe Life University. She served on the faculty at Belmont University, the University of New Mexico, the University of Wyoming, the University of Northern Colorado, Colorado State University, and the University of Tampa. She co-managed her two $1.25 million grants for business ethics education through the University of New Mexico's Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative with her husband, O.C. Ferrell. She was also jointly responsible for securing her more than $5 million for the University of Wyoming's inaugural Bill Daniels Distinguished Professor of Business Ethics.
Ferrell received his Ph.D. from the University of Memphis. She earned her MBA in fashion merchandising and her bachelor's degree from Illinois State University. Her research interests include marketing ethics, ethics training and its effectiveness, legalizing business ethics, and corporate social responsibility and sustainability.
She has published articles in the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, AMS Review, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Public Policy & Marketing, and Journal of Business Research, among others. She is the author of Business Ethics: Ethical Decision Making and Examples (12th Edition), Business and Society (4th Edition), Management (3rd Edition), and Introduction to Business (12th Edition). He has co-authored numerous books, including:
Professionally, Ferrell was an advertising account executive at McDonald's and Pizza Hut advertising agencies in Houston, Indianapolis, and Philadelphia. She was recently honored as the Marketing Management Association's Innovative Marketer of the Year. Ferrell is a member of the Board of Directors of Mannatech, Inc., a NASDAQ listed health and wellness company. She serves on the Board of Directors of the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy-Public Trust Center. She serves on the Executive Committee, Board of Directors, and Academic Advisory Board of the Direct Selling Education Foundation. She is a member of the Cutco/Vector College Advisory Board. She is a past president of the Academy of Marketing Science and a past president of the Marketing Management Association. Ferrell also acts as an expert witness in ethical and legal disputes.
