Caltrans District 5 is seeking public input on the Central Coast US 101 corridor through an online survey. This research will help establish the goals of his 2021 US 101 Business Plan, which is currently being developed by Caltrans and the Central Coast Coalition. The deadline for participating in the survey is Wednesday, June 30, 2021.
Caltrans is working with the Central Coast Coalition to develop the plan. The plan aims to encourage investment in the highway while raising public awareness that US 101 is a major economic asset for California and the nation. This effort covers U.S. 101 throughout District 5 and provides the data, strategy, and community support needed for long- and short-term corridor improvement plans.
Coalition members include the Santa Barbara County Association of Governments, San Luis Obispo Council of Governments, Monterey County Transportation Authority, San Benito County Council of Governments, Santa Cruz County Regional Transportation Commission, Monterey Bay Area Association of Governments, and Caltrans District 5.
