The City of Folsom is developing a central business district master plan and is seeking input from the community. The Central Business District is a major retail and commercial district located at East Bidwell Street and Riley Street, between Sutter Middle School and Blue Rabin Road. This includes the Aquatic Center and Lemby Park.
In April 2022, the City Council approved the use of American Recovery Planning Act (ARPA) funds to create a central business district master plan. A revitalization plan to identify a comprehensive vision for the area, including potential commercial, office, and residential opportunities, additional economic development, mobility, and safety improvements to guide future development and infrastructure improvements. will be created.
According to city officials, the plan's main objective is a mixed-use residential development with economic development.
