3 Developing new businesses that promote innovative transportation

(1) Autonomous driving solution
The Isuzu Group plans to start a new level 4 self-driving truck and bus business from fiscal 2028. This spring, our group began acquiring autonomous driving technology and building infrastructure services. After conducting demonstration experiments in collaboration with alliance partners, the system will be initially applied to expressways for trucks, inter-location transportation, and urban transportation routes for buses, and will be gradually applied from fiscal 2028.
(2) Connected services

The Isuzu Group will continue to build a strong supply chain to ensure appropriate global production volumes. As Japan continues to experience a labor shortage, the Group will leverage tools such as generative AI to improve efficiency and modernize existing infrastructure, as well as invest in optimizing its domestic manufacturing systems. Additionally, we will invest 205 billion yen to strengthen sales and service functions that support new vehicle sales and existing vehicle operators. Through these efforts, our group aims to strengthen our existing businesses.
In response to the 2024 Work Style Reform Act, the Isuzu Group will work to improve operations from the shipper's perspective, taking into account drivers' actual working hours and loading rates, and strive to reduce the burden on drivers. 7 Establishing a management foundation rooted in ISUZU ID
The Isuzu Group is building a world-standard human resource management system based on the ISUZU ID philosophy. As a first step, we will introduce a new personnel system this spring, and gradually expand the scope of application to the entire group by fiscal 2027.
We will also promote digital transformation (DX) and encourage all employees to improve their basic and specialized skills and acquire new skills that encourage innovation.
