It's probably a bad idea to get back together with an ex in a pandemic, but at least one will be back starting in 2021.
Pepsi and Peeps announced Tuesday that their collaboration product, Marshmallow Cola, is back. The two brands shocked consumers two years ago with their first collaboration, but it wasn't an April Fool's joke.
“The partnership that broke the internet in 2021 is back, with marshmallow-flavored cola now available in retail stores for the first time ever,” the companies said in a joint press release.
When the company launched the drink in 2021, “people kind of lost it,” Delish wrote, adding that the product took off quickly. This sparked quite a few conversations on Twitter, some of whom were horrified that the company didn't call the product “Peepsi.”
Coward, call it Peepsee. https://t.co/p9rMymsuRd

At the time, the product was only available through a sweepstakes where people posted photos online with the hashtag. The company manufactured just 3,000 products at the time, according to the release.
But now you can also buy it in stores.
Following the success of the drink, which the companies claim has gained notoriety on late-night TV, Twitter, and even sales on the “secondary market,” the brands are “making their partnership official and bringing this sweet treat to retailers nationwide.” We decided to deliver it to.
Consumers are responding as expected.

If you see someone drinking Peeps-flavored Pepsi, call the police.
